A yummy treat for mom!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! Today is the day your mom deserves a special treat. Make her something she loves. If she likes...


Pineapple: Make her a Pina Colada Milkshake (alcohol free or not)  
                                 2 cups of coconut sorbet
                                 2 cups of vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream
                                 3/4 cup of pineapple juice
                                 1/4 cup of dark rum (optional)
                      1. Combine sorbet, frozen yogurt, pineapple juice and rum, if wanted, in blender.
                      2. Process until smooth, serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.


Peaches: Make her a raspberry peach perfection smoothie.
                          1 1/2 cups of fresh or frozen peach slices
                          1 cup of peach nectar
                          6 ounces of raspberry yogurt
                          1 tbs of honey
                          1 to 3 ice cubes
 1. Combine peaches, nectar, yogurt, raspberries and honey, in blender. Process until the fruit is smooth (finger testing is accepted)
2. Add 3 ice cubes if using fresh fruit, put in 1 to 2 if using frozen. Makes 2 servings.


Orange: Make her a mandarin orange, coconut and lime cooler.
                                        15 ounces (one can) Mandarin Oranges in light syrup, undrained
                                        2 tbs of corn syrup
                                        1 tbs of lime juice
                                        1 tsp of grated lime peel
                                        1 tsp of grated fresh ginger
                                        1 tsp of coconut extract
                                        1/2 tsp of orange extract
                                        1 cup of ice cubes
  1. Place oranges, corn syrup, lime juice, lime peel, ginger, coconut extract, orange extract, and ice cubes in blender. Blend until ice is crushed. Makes 2 servings.
                              


Strawberry: Make her a triple strawberry smoothie
                              1 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries
                              1 cup of milk
                              3 to 4 tbs of strawberry jam
                              1 cup of vanilla frozen yogurt (or strawberry)
                              2 ice cubes
                              Sliced strawberries
1. Combine all ingredients but ice cubes, yogurt, and sliced strawberries. Blend until smooth.
2. Add frozen yogurt and ice; process until smooth. Makes 2 servings.
